Oil painter Hilarie Lambert enjoys painting familiar subjects such as vintage toys, notable architecture, and coastal scenes, revealing the beauty in everyday moments through light, texture, and observation.

Although she has won numerous awards, her primary motivation is a fascination with the process. She paints prolifically in the studio and on location, with commissions ranging from landscapes to portraits.\

Her work is marked by humor and whimsy, often focusing on overlooked moments like rainy days, side streets, and quiet details. Using loose, strong brushwork and generous paint, she emphasizes the artist’s hand and the connection between subject and viewer.

A former graphic designer and illustrator from the Finger Lakes of New York, Lambert studied under Burton Silverman, Kim English, Scott Burdick, and Judy Carducci. She travels extensively in Italy and France and now lives in Greenville, South Carolina, with her two children, Casey and Samantha.
