Mark Hodges recently moved in the Greenville area from Athens, Georgia. He began painting 17 years ago, working almost exclusively in the oil medium, and intensified his involvement in painting after retiring from a career at the Georgia Tech Research Institute. He now paints almost daily, and his favorite subjects are landscapes and interior scenes, but he also likes to paint portraits, homes, hardscapes, still-life subjects, and figures in their environments.

He has had several one-man shows in Atlanta and Athens, and his paintings have appeared in juried exhibitions at the Lyndon Art Center in Athens and the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation in Watkinsville, Georgia.
